I don't know that she's been in the car for more than an hour at a time, tops, so far. She's into the bigger car seat so she's more comfortable now which is good. As you can see, she kicks her foot up on the side of the seat. Most of the time she rides like that right now. Actually, she does that a lot no matter where she is. She nurses like that now, too, a lot of the time. Not always easy to manage, but it makes her happy. She's also taken to throwing her toys over the side of the car seat, though, because she can. I have a bin full of toys that's going on the front seat so I can hand toys back to her when she runs out. I got that little tip from a book Doug's parents got him for Christmas.Luckily, she'll be due for a nap not too long after we take off. She was up insanely early this morning and then wouldn't go back to sleep so hopefully she takes a nice long car nap. I'm doubtful since that would be ideal, but fingers crossed anyway. Mostly, I just hope we can make it up to Ft. Worth with minimal tears and only one stop to nurse. And no bathroom breaks! Because really, how do you do that when it's just you and the baby? Exactly.
