I have yet to actually get my fall decorations out, as much as I want to. Other things keep getting in the way, like Ophelia throwing up last Wednesday. And then Doug and I getting sick, too. It was a fun weekend at our house!
Anyway, I've recently come across a couple easy, cute fall decorating ideas and last night I finally had a chance to make one of them. I found
this project via a
blog I follow. I haven't put a bow on it yet. Mostly because I don't have any good ribbon and I'm no good at tying bows even if I did have ribbon. I like the chocolate brown ribbon in the tutorial I found so I may see if I can find some at the craft store and then find someone to make the bow for me.
The other project I happened upon involves
hurricane vases and I don't think our house and the tiny hands within are quite ready for those yet. That project will have to wait for another year. They're really pretty though and would certainly dress up the house for fall.
Very cute. Instead of satin ribbon, I like using the ribbon that has wire in the edges so it's easy to form.
