Well, last week was quite the week again. This time I was the one that got sick. Mastitis. Unusual, but not unheard of at this point in the breastfeeding game. Boy was I miserable last week! Luckily, I got a prescription and by Thursday was mostly feeling normal again. Which is good because Monday and Tuesday were excruciatingly painful.
In addition to that, I was racing the clock to get Ophelia's Halloween costume finished. Which I did, about 30 seconds before I ran out the door to get to her Fall Festival on Friday afternoon. But, she wore the costume and was adorable. And I know what adjustments I have to make tonight so that she can wear it Friday for her school party and costume day. There will be pictures, don't worry!
I posted some great new videos of Phee on YouTube. She's walking like crazy. More walking than crawling, unless she really needs to get somewhere fast. Or she's trying to outrun me when I notice that she's eating my flip flop or playing with a remote. Her teachers are already talking about moving her up to the next class early since she's walking so much.
This week, Doug heads off to Seattle to visit Nate. I'm jealous of the weather he's going to have and the fact that he gets to see water. Phee and I will be making the trek up to Ft. Worth again to see Heather & Andy and the boys. I'm sure we'll be having all kinds of Halloween fun! And hopefully this time we'll be able to venture out and actually see something. It was about 327 degrees outside the last time we went to visit and so we just stayed in the house and played all weekend. No one was up to braving the sun and heat! This time it should only be around 80.
And, we're starting to plan Phee's birthday party- just 7 weeks away! I can't believe it in the least. She's going to have a really fun birthday party and rumor has it, Santa is going to make an appearance. The child is fearless in everything so we'll see how she fares with the big guy. I'm sure we'll get some great pictures out of it!
