Ophelia, you are 1 today! Happy birthday to you!
You are such a funny kid. You always have a smile on your face, usually a scrunch-faced smile like this one. Or your weird "surprised" face that we can't seem to capture on film. You will do just about anything for some cheerios. Or yogurt. Or meat. But, definitely cheerios. 
You love your monkeys and most especially all your books. You have more books than we do and you love to read them all. You've been turning the pages yourself for months and your pace is so much more fun than our pace. Although, the story at your pace is always a little wonky. Our favorite books to read are Sandra Boynton books. They always make us laugh!
Right now, your favorite thing is carrying toys around. You carry your box of blocks or your new picnic set. Or your shape sorter. Or my lunchbox from the kitchen. Or maybe the tv remote.
