Ophelia has been battling ear infections for the last 6 months. The poor kiddo got her first one at the very beginning of November. We were clear for a few months, and then it started up again on Valentine's Day. That one didn't get fully resolved with the antibiotics she was taking and she had to go for round 2 of meds that time. And this latest ear infection started two weekends ago. She's almost finished with this round of meds.
Next Monday we have an appointment with an ENT. Tubes are almost definitely in Ophelia's future. She's been bumped up to stronger meds and I don't want her to continue to take antibiotics every couple months. And, this last time, she screamed for a while on a Saturday night and then was mostly fine on Sunday- just a little whiny and tired. I really hate that she handled it so well, because that means she's getting used to that pain and discomfort.
So, the ENT was recommended by Phee's doctor and has good reviews online. Whether he recommends tubes or not, I just hope we can resolve these infections for Phee.
